Northwest Connecticut Firearms Training, LLC

Connecticut Pistol Permit Class. This is an 8 hr class for people in Connecticut who want to get a pistol permit or buy ammo. The class will consist of classroom instruction on the NRA basic pistol permit course or my Connecticut State Police approved pistol safety course which will cover everything involving pistols and revolver. Each student will receive the NRA student manual or state handouts so they can follow the step by step power point instruction along with other handouts. Once the power point is finished each student will learn the Connecticut laws and then onto a practical/hands on session. In this session each student will handle, load (with snap caps), fire, unload, and clean a pistol or revolver. Once the student passes it's on to the range for hands on and live fire with a 38/357 pistol/revolver. Last will be a multiple choice test. Once all is completed and passed you will receive your certificate. Cost $125.00

Massachusetts LTC/FID Basic Firearms Course LTC-001. This is an 8 hour class for people in Massachusetts who want to get their LTC (license to carry) Class A, or an LID (Firearms ID Card) Class C. There will be classroom instruction by power point which will cover everything on pistols, revolvers, rifles. and shotguns. It will cover all the laws on what you can and can't do with firearms. In the home and in vehicles Then there will be a hands on/practical session which will allow students hands on each firearm listed above. You will learn to handle, load (with snap caps), fire, unload, and clean pistols, revolvers, rifles, and shotguns safely. Once the practical session is completed there is a multiple choice test. Once all is completed and passed you will receive your certificate. Cost $125.00

Multi-State License Course. This is a one day course where you receive certificates for six different states. With these six states you can carry concealed in 39 states legally. The states needed if you want to carry in all 39 states are, MA, CT, NH, ME, FL, and UT. Note with the certificate you get in class it's up to the student to apply to each and every of these states in order to get their permit. Cost $160.00

Private/Advanced Pistol/Revolver/Rifle/Shotgun Class. Have your permit and want to learn how shoot better. Buy a new gun and want to learn on it. With a private session you will learn more advanced shooting techniques to become a better shooter. You will learn all the parts to your gun, take it apart, shoot it, and then clean it. This will be all range time with just you and the instructor. Cost $150.00

Personnel Protection/Conceal Carry Class. Both classes will cover the proper ways to carry a concealed firearm with all different types of holsters and conceal carry methods. It will also cover ways to conceal yourself and the proper use of barricaded options. The personnel protection class will cover defensive tactics options and ways to keep your firearm and fight off assailants who try to get them. Cost $100.00

Self Defense Class. Do you want to be more prepared if attacked, or a victim of a home invasion, or a carjacking? Then this class is for you. This is a basic self-defense class for you to learn the basic steps in protecting yourself from being a victim. You will learn basic self-defense moves to break or block an attack weather they are armed or unarmed. You will also learn ways not to become a victim & how to handle yourself in and outside the home. Cost $80.00

Criminal Law. Now that you have you permit and your new gun, what's next? What do you do? How do you transport or carry? Where can I go or not go? What's the law? Well this class is for you. When you walk away from this class you will know everything you need to know on what you can or cant' do with your gun. Cost $80.00

Radar/Lidar. This is for the reserve intermit officer who is in need of getting the MPTC required Radar/Lidar class. After this class is completed the officer will be able to run Radar/Lidar within their department's and be able to given written citations under Ch. 90 S. 17 & Ch. 90 S. 18. Cost $75.00
